Call the emergency services first. Tell MASHI afterwards, with the time, the place and the vehicle number.
Before you ride
- Wear a helmet. Ask at a hub if you do not have one.
- Check the tyres, brakes and lights.
- Wear shoes that stay on your feet.
- Never ride under the influence of alcohol or medication.
On the road
- Both hands on the bars. One rider per scooter.
- Give way to pedestrians. Dismount where it is crowded.
- Road edge or marked lane. Never the pavement.
- Wear something light-coloured after dark.
- Never ride holding a phone.
Parking
- End the trip inside a marked parking zone.
- Upright, on the stand, wheel straight.
- Never block a doorway, a ramp, a crossing or tactile paving.
- Leave room for a wheelchair or a pram to pass.
If something goes wrong
Stop somewhere safe, out of traffic.
If anyone is hurt, call the emergency services.
Report it in the app: vehicle number, time, place.
Leave the scooter parked. Do not ride a vehicle you reported.
Rider safety rules

- 18 or older, with valid identification.
- Never ride under the influence of alcohol or medication.
- Give way to pedestrians.
- Roads and marked lanes only.
- Stay visible after dark.
- Report a fault instead of riding on.
Local operating rules
- Service area. Ride and end trips inside the marked Damascus service area only.
- No-ride zones. The pedestrian core of the Old City, including Souq al-Hamidiyah and the approaches to the Umayyad Mosque. Push the scooter through on foot.
- Slow zones. Old City lanes, Damascus University, market streets.
- Parking. Marked zones only. Never block a doorway, a ramp or a crossing.
- Operating hours. 07:00 to 23:00. A ride under way at 23:00 can be completed.
- Pavements. Not permitted. Use the road edge or a marked lane.
- Local instructions. Instructions from the local authority and temporary street closures take precedence over these rules and over the app.
